This is the Vietnam Veterans Memorial book.

It is self published by Paratrooper Ronny Ymbras (Ronny also runs this site RU Airborne). Ronny jumped with the 82nd then was transferred to the 101st to fight with the Screaming Eagles in Vietnam.

After losing 13 of his platoon in a friendly fire incident Ronny promised himself that one day he would honor the men that didn’t make it home from the Vietnam War.

Colonel John Cushman writes about what we dealt with after heading to Nam – Ronny Ymbras


Picture of B Co 1/502 was taken in December 1967 before the second and third brigade of the 101st airborne division shipped to Vietnam. Int he images below 2nd brigade commander Colonel John Cushman recalls some 40 years later on some statistics amazing, horrendous and emotional. Units involved were 1/502, 1/501 & 2/501. I can remember some guys getting wounded 2, 3 or 4 times and still returning to the field , or getting wounded and staying in the field. Maybe this is the reason why we started to get leg replacements in early March 68 AATW – Ronny Ymbras
